A forest is not a great place for a puppy to be all alone. However, some are discovered in such a location because they were dumped there.

Elisa, a dog rescuer, recalls how she spent a number of days rescuing a little puppy from the forest.

Even though Elisa was dealing with a little puppy, the rescue mission was easy. The animal was terrified and would flee at the sight of any person. In addition, it began to snow, so Elisa had to act quickly before the snow entirely covered the place.

Elisa decided to visit the puppy daily in order for it to be used to her presence. However, regardless of how much food she gave it or how friendly she appeared, the puppy never approached her. She ultimately decided to fast track the procedure by setting a trap.

After waiting patiently for an hour and a half, the puppy eventually entered the trap. When Elisa approached it, it was trembling with fear. She then placed the animal in her vehicle and drove it to an animal shelter.

Elise discovered that the puppy was a female and gave her the name Willow. When the puppy arrived at the shelter, it was disoriented and avoided human contact. Elise exposed Willow to other puppies so that she could learn how to interact with other animals.

Once Willow interacted with the other puppies, she learned to trust rapidly. After that, Willow found a permanent home quickly as well.

After Willow was adopted, Elise felt a profound sense of achievement and relief. She remarked that the whole thing made her feel as though she had done a great deal.

During her attempt to save Willow, Elise exhibited patience and perseverance. Other rescuers could have immediately deployed a trap or pursued the dog until it became exhausted. Elise’s approach leaned heavily towards compassion.
