You have seen videos of dogs steal someone else’s favorite pair of socks, sneak in the kitchen to get their treats or grab the remote control from their owners as a playful gesture. But have you seen a baby steal treats from their dog?
German shepherds are usually bred as military dogs, police dogs, guide dogs and rescue dogs. They are also great family dogs for their intelligence and protective nature.
The video below features Ava and her trusty furry companion, Brano, playing together while their daddy films them. A few seconds later, we see Brano chomping down on two dog treats given to him. Ava, being the curious one, reaches out and grabs one of the treats and refuses to give it back to Brano.
Their daddy laughs, acknowledging the cunning behavior of his daughter. Brano tries to get his biscuit from Ava’s hand, but this little darling won’t let him!
Halfway through the video, the gentle giant sits beside Ava as he patiently waits for her to surrender the treat. Daddy intervenes, telling Ava to give back Brano what belongs to him.
Ava reaches out her little arm, but Brano is a little confused as the baby is still holding the treat in her other hand. Daddy commands Brano to take the treat, but Ava seems to miss what’s really going on.
Daddy tricks Ava into giving her a high-five, and while Ava is distracted, Brano gently tries to get the cookie from her hand but still failed. Nice try though, Brano!
This video shows how German Shepherds can be so patient, well-mannered and trustworthy, especially if they are raised well. Who knows? Maybe Brano considers Ava as a younger part of the pack and just goes along with her silliness!
We just hope that Brano got his treat back!
