In life, what you see is not surely always the real thing.  And sometimes, that’s because of optical illusions. You may do a double-take or just scratch your head because you can’t believe that your eyes have just fooled you.

There’s another optical illusion that will make your head spin, and it features a dog! This pup’s unintentionally confusing imagery has gone viral, even causing some friendly debates among family and friends.

Is it a man or a dog?

One image, which was shared by the Atlantic CEO Nick Thompson, has gone viral on Twitter because of its tricky optical illusion. In the said picture, you could see that there was snow everywhere, and there was someone standing on the ground. People, however, couldn’t figure out if it was a man walking towards the woods or just a pup running forward.

Those who saw the picture for the first time initially thought that it was just a man wearing a furry hood heading towards the woods. Upon closer and more careful inspection, however, they realized that there had been a glitch in their perception. It was actually a dog running towards the camera.

Nick shared on his tweet that it was a black poodle named Bob Marley Sir Pounce A Lot and was owned by a person named Terri Babers. Nick said that his favorite thing about the photograph was how the trees changed size as one’s perspective shifted.

Here’s what the netizens are discussing

Without a doubt, the picture had surprised a lot of people. Netizens were either debating about the illusion or discussing the flaw in their perception.

One Twitter user gave a simple yet logical explanation. The picture just showed people’s powerful ability to change their perspective by pausing intentionally and focusing on something else. Such an ability is a good practice to apply to daily life situations.
