Dads can get a little creative when it comes to their children. It would be amazing to see your dad do something in his free time, and it ends up being something fun for the family. This dad is similar, but you might not believe who enjoyed his creative project the most.

Mariano and Esmeralda Rendon are a couple who lives in Shavano Park in Texas. They both love dogs and trains as much as they love their grandkids. Mariano came up with the creative idea of turning their backyard into a railroad where their grandkids can have fun.

It was after the announcement of lockdown when the Rendon’s started their project. When everyone was stuck at home doing all their repeated daily routines, their family dealt with it by making their idea of a railroad into reality

Mariano used his backyard tools to hammer wood and metal into the ground. He created thousand-feet long tracks, perfect in their spacious backyard. After making the tracks, he proceeded to the carts that will run in the railroad.

Rendon reused and repainted old carts to form a long line of carts. For the tracks to run, he attached an engine strong enough to pull all those behinds.

When Mariano felt satisfied with his creation, he then named his project Salsa Tracks. Their backyard railway will surely attract the interest of the kids in their neighborhood. All that’s left is for their grandkids to try and play with it.

Unexpectedly, the first ones to ride the rail were their German Shepherds. The couple owned several pups whom they treated as their own kids. They planned to let the grandchildren and puppies enjoy the ride, but the puppies arrived first to chill with their father.

The 11-week old pups – Abrams and Bradley were having a good time on the ride, as seen on the video that Rendon uploaded on Facebook. The view also helped them to relax as they went through a smooth train ride.

Both the kids and the puppies will enjoy playing in the railroads.

No doubt that the family is enthusiastic to try it, just like how the internet loves Rendon’s backyard railroads. Mariano appears to be completely satisfied with his project, but he plans to expand the railways even more. He wants to offer more exciting adventures for everyone.

Mariano named his most recent railroad section “Corona Pass” for his time and effort in building these tracks. But, it seems like it will not end here, as his mind is full of creative juices. We look forward to actually seeing more of his backyard railways. Stay updated on his Facebook page to stay up to date on his train-riding pups and their adventure.
