A pug is a dog with unique physical features, described with a short muzzle, wrinkly cheeks, and a short, curled tail. Its coat is glossy and comes in different colors, usually black or fawn. It is also recognized for having a compact body with well-defined muscles.

Pugs originated from China and then brought to Europe in the 16th century. In the UK, Queen Victoria has grown to love pugs so she passed on this passion to other Royal family members.

Pugs are adored by many due to its gentle and sociable nature. Experts describe the breed’s character as charming and even-tempered. Pugs remained popular in the 21st century, especially among famous celebrities across the globe.

Miss Pickles is no exemption. It all started when Margaret Skorka and her boyfriend decided to foster pugs. Miss Pickles was Skorka’s second foster pug after a “foster fail”. Margaret decided to build an Instagram account for Miss Pickles in July 2017. But fame doesn’t come overnight.

In 2018, Miss Pickles turned out to have a mast cell tumor. But despite the condition, the strong-willed pug was able to beat cancer. With over 13,000 followers, the canine cancer survivor was on her way to stardom real fast.

Later that year, opportunities knock upon Miss Pickles as a casting call is in search of a fawn who will be wearing clothes and hats and bark on cue. Miss Pickles sent the requirements for auditions and got the part. This was a commercial for Superbowl.

Since the Superbowl, Miss Pickles signed up for a movie animal behavior workshop. This, according to Skorka, is to allow Miss Pickles to get more exposure and improve herself behavior-wise.

Miss Pickles is once a rescue dog but made it to a Superbowl commercial. This just shows that every animal has a chance to survive and have a good life after all.
