When Chase Mckinnon and Brian May were trekking into the woods located close to Bridgewater, Massachusetts, they heard a hound crying. Concerned about what could have happened to the animal, they followed the noise and found out it was from a beagle abandoned in a shed.

There was once a beagle club situated in the area, but it doesn’t fully explain how the pooch ended in there and for how long she was left. Upon seeing the poor girl, the two men went into the shed and rescued her.

The only thing she had was a bowl of some rabbit food.

Brian and Chase brought the pup to Bridgewater & East Bridgewater Animal Control where they checked her up. The staffs found she was okay. She was in good shape, and that is thanks to the hikers who did not hesitate to stop their journey when they saw the animal in need.

The officials believed that the pup was left for a few days, and if it had gone any longer, her health could have declined.

They went to Facebook to call out for anyone who might know more about the hound’s case. If you are that person, do contact 508-659-1290.

The Animal control also did not miss to post and mention Brian and Chase whom they credit everything to. They asked them if they would like to name the pooch to which Brian answered with a yes!

He named it Grace.

Right now, they are only waiting for a few days to see if someone claims Grace, but if not, she will be up for adoption. Brian, with his unending kindness towards the pup, offered that he would look for the pooch’s match himself if no one gets her.

Thanks to all who helped Grace in her rescue and we hope she finds herself a loving family!
