A family took their 1.5-month-old puppy George to the vet for treatment. Apparently, the little puppy hurt himself and ended up with three broken legs. It wasn’t clear what he did but his owner said he played rambunctiously and lost control.

Puppies like George easily get injured because their bones, muscles, and joints are yet to be fully developed. But simultaneously, their chances of full recovery are also high. In George’s condition, however, it was different.

The vets determined George’s injuries were so bad that he may or may never walk again. His treatment required lots of medication and therapy, something that would cost money and require time. And unfortunately, his family didn’t have both.

After hearing what the vet had to say, George’s family decided it wasn’t worth it. They turned their backs and left him behind. They told the doctor to do whatever he wanted because they no longer cared.

George was in despair when his family left. He didn’t understand what happened. He was afraid. But thankfully, local rescuers learned about him and they came to help.

With both his front legs and his left hind leg broken, George was surely in agony. But because he was such a brave boy, it didn’t take very long for him to get into surgery. He bore a little more hardship because he knew it would be all worth it.

The puppy’s surgery was a success. It took a few hours to get all his three legs fixed but he went out of the operating room and woke with a brand new hope. And once his surgical wounds healed, he immediately started his therapy.

George’s family abandoned him because they thought he would be disabled for the rest of his life. Little did they know that he would regain complete mobility in a short time. Within a month, he recovered, and he started playing and running around in his new home.
