2020 was surely challenging, but the Marinos had other worries besides the pandemic.

At the start of 2020, their beloved family pet, Byron, a Poodle mix, went missing. They looked for him for nearly a year and couldn’t find him. They received some bad news after rechecking his microchip details.

Byron had been successfully adopted by a new family, and his microchip data had been changed and disconnected from the Marinos. It was a difficult realization, but the family is committed to resolving the issue. They want Byron back more than anything because he is a member of their family.

This dog has been a member of the Marino family since 2017. As a result, everyone, particularly the daughters, grew to love him. To keep him extra safe, they got him microchipped.

The family double-checked the microchip information when Byron went missing earlier this year. They also reported him missing in every possible area, but he was never found.

Family member Savannah Marino had been restless for nearly 14 months before she knew there was something wrong. She double-checked the microchip information and realized it had been registered under someone else’s name.

Savannah initially mistook it for an error. When she contacted the microchip manufacturer, she was told that they couldn’t get involved in such a dispute over ownership. The Poodle Rescue of Houston was responsible for the alteration, the company eventually told her.

According to the Poodle Rescue of Houston, a group that rescues and rehabilitates poodles, Byron was then adopted by a new family in February 2020. They attempted to contact the Marino family, but the number on the microchip was inaccessible, according to them.

There appeared to be a lot of ambiguity and misinterpretation in this situation. In reality, obtaining custody of Byron is the Marino family’s primary priority.

The rescue group even offered the family a new puppy, but no dog could ever replace Byron, and the Marinos stood by that. Byron’s new family seemed to share their sentiments.

They are not angry at the new family. Byron has been living with that family for over a year and is obviously a member now. Savannah, on the other hand, only wants that they return the dog to them as soon as possible.

In the midst of the drama, the Marinos filed a lawsuit against the Poodle Rescue of Houston, which is the microchip manufacturer, and Byron’s new family. They really didn’t want things to come to this, but they’ll go to any length to reunite with their cherished pet.
