Dogs are protective of their families, and they are usually uncomfortable with the idea of having strangers around. But sometimes, they cannot resist the presence of their fellow dogs.
A 10-year-old Husky named Hugo is more than thrilled to meet Ice, a Samoyed that has been just adopted by Hugo’s family. Ice, on the other hand, also looks excited to meet Hugo.

Welcome to the family
In a video shared online by a TikTok user named Sammy Stimpson, you can see Hugo standing up and placing his paws on the fence upon seeing Ice from the distance. Ice, on the other hand, starts to hop. She even tries to pull along the person holding her leash.
It is undeniably sweet! But it gets better as the clip cuts to the two dogs walking beside each other.
In another TikTok video, Simpson, who is apparently a postwoman, explains the reason for taking Ice from a woman she met via her mail route. Ice’s former owner was hospitalized, so Simpson took the dog in to live with her family.
While Hugo can be grumpy at times, he has welcomed Ice into the family pretty quickly. There are even times when he picks up large sticks and offers them to his new sibling.

The video of Hugo and Ice’s first meeting has undeniably warmed the hearts of many netizens. It currently has more than one million views and over 26K likes. It also has 2.1K shares and over 1K comments.
