Everyone is born with a unique trait that distinguishes them from the billions of people in the world. Some have narrow hips and curvy bodies, while others sport crooked smiles and dimples. This borzoi from Richmond, Virginia, however, is blessed with an adorably unusual long snout, and the internet is loving her for it.
Lily Kambourian and Savannah, her partner, first met Eris in Keysville, Virginia back in July 2018, where she and her two other siblings were taken care of. They were looking to adopt a puppy then and immediately settled on Eris when she excitedly cuddled on Savannah’s lap.
However, the caretaker told them the Borzoi Sighthound would most likely grow with an overbite, where her upper jaw would be noticeably longer than her lower jaw. This didn’t bother the couple, though, and decided to push through with Eris’ adoption and bring her home.
Now, after two years, Eris is perfectly healthy, with no dental issues at all. But while she didn’t develop an overbite growing up, there is one thing noticeable about the pooch: her incredibly long snout!
Over the years, Eris’s nose grew to a tremendous 12.2 inches, leading her fur parents to believe that she might actually be a titleholder for the longest nose in the canine world. It doesn’t seem to bother Eris, though, and she actually enjoys having a handy snoot to insert into fences and grab food off of the table.
The pooch also loves basking in the attention, as her distinctive looks typically attract tons of strangers whenever they are on a walk. Before her fur parents knew it, she was already a star in their neighborhood.
Eris’s fame also made it online after Lily and Savannah created an Instagram page just for her. The account now boasts of over 185,000 followers who enjoy scrolling through dozens of the pup’s photos and videos. Look at Eris and her loving fur parents here.
