Dogs can do a lot of strange things that we would usually lose count. With their endless mischiefs and adventures, it’s interesting to know the reason behind it. There are also dogs who perform a variety of duties for the community and their own families. While some dogs are busy saving lives and whatnot, there is this dog who never fails to sleep at a random porch every day.
The dog, who is a yellowish golden retriever, would always go to a woman’s house every afternoon at almost the same time. The dog didn’t do anything at the porch; he just sat there for a while and then a few minutes after, he was seen sleeping soundly as if he was at his own home.
At first, the woman seemed not to mind the dog and thought that maybe, the dog does this in all the porches that he passes by on the way home. However, since it has become a routine, the woman started to become curious. This is when she decided to leave a note on the dog’s collar. She wrote to the owner of the dog, asking if the owner is aware that the dog is doing this routine. She also asked indirectly if there is a particular reason behind it.
The following day, the dog came again, and the woman found a reply on the dog’s collar. She found the reason to be funny and smart at the same time. According to the note, the dog lives in a house with six children and two of them are still babies. The house is usually too noisy all day, and the dog probably wants to steal a few hours of sleep and rest, that’s why he’d go away every afternoon all the way to the woman’s porch, which was perfect for his plan.
After finding out about the reason, the woman decided to make this dog’s afternoon naps even more comfortable. She bought him a dog bed and blanket, and the following afternoon, the retriever was already using it. Looks like he’s in for long hours of sleep moving forward!
